Friday….I ? Friday!
Crazy week behind me…so glad it is almost over! If I could do it over again I would erase the entire week and most of it I would choose NOT to relive! UGH just one of those weeks. So…today being Friday, I am even more happy to say:
Baseball has begun! Yep…we watched our first Mariners game of the season on Wednesday night, it was a spring training game but we enjoyed seeing some good old baseball none-the-less. Now, if our boys will just pull it together and make something happen before the regular season actually starts!!
I can honestly say I have done much more sewing in the last 2 months than all of last year! I have 5 quilts ready to go to my machine quilter gal and hope to get those to her next week. FIVE! I can hardly believe that! And…4 of those were not even cut out until last month! WOW…I am impressing myself LOL . The other quilt is one I started in 1998…it has a long story behind it. I will be so so glad to have it quilted and on our bed within the next month.
Quilts aren’t the only thing I have been sewing.
- My FAB Challenge is done…it isn’t due to be mailed until September but I buckled down and finished it in one afternoon.
- Made a set of 8 ME placemats ~ we have sets of 4 or 6 matching place mats but when the kids are here there are 7 of us…hence the need for a matching set of 8.
- Worked on some PIF obligations…just about ready to get those mailed off (not actually due until Feb 2011)
- Did some mending
- Cut a number of quilt kits (did this at the office, during some down time!) which are now ready for quick sewing
I have been on a *controlled* spending spree~~ took advantage of Connecting Threads month long sales and purchased a couple of kits for upcoming gift giving (bdays and new babies), also beefed up my thread supply.
Yep, MCM has seen more of me in the last couple of months ~ hopefully the long dry spell is over! I am really glad I will have yards and yards and yards of binding to do while watching baseball…and will be miles ahead of myself for obligations coming up.
The sun will be out this wknd…we are so happy as we are about half way through an outside project we started last wknd.
